The third exhibition in the Housing Standard series builds on the previous thematic chapters and once again raises the question of how to live with art in everyday environments. The exhibition space of Czech Republic Sotheby’s International Realty—a classic apartment from the era of the First Czechoslovak Republic—becomes both the backdrop and an active participant in the presentation of the artworks. The interior is not merely a frame but an active field of relationships between objects, light, the viewer, and the space itself.
The exhibition continues to explore the balance between the aesthetic function of art and its ability to cultivate the environments we inhabit. Once again, various media and modes of expression—from painting to objects—come together here, always with an emphasis on context and sensitive integration into the space. The selection of artists reflects current tendencies in contemporary art.
