HOMAGE TO FRANTIŠEK TICHÝ

The collection comprises eighty-eight original sketches, prints, and drawings that demonstrate the greatness and scope of the painter’s mastery. The collection is completed by one of the most remarkable paintings in the history of art. Entitled Homage to František Tichý, its author is the painter Zdeněk Sklenář, and the work was kindly lent by the National Gallery Prague. The world of the circus and the virtuosity of Paganini as well as still lifes and landscape motifs thus come back to life in their entirety and in a most intimate situation, which is emphasized by the exhibition installation designed by architect Josef Pleskot.
