Address:Open Studios, Čerokostelecká 90, Praha 10, ,

During PAW24, visitors will have the opportunity to peek into the studios of talented artists. Jiří Pitrmuc, Alex Selmeci & Tomáš Kocka Jusko, Natálie Sýkorová, and Jakub Choma will open their studios in Prague’s Strašnice neighborhood to the public.

Jiří Pitrmuc deals mainly with painting, drawing, and installation associated with the creation of objects. The resulting works often look playful and carefree, but under the surface they carry a sense of uncertainty and fear. Alex Selmeci & Tomáš Kocka Jusko are a Slovak artist duo currently based in Prague. They create complex intermedia installations and environments that balance between free art, design, and architecture. Natália Sýkorová is a performer and artist who studied experimental architecture in London and sculpture at UMPRUM in Prague. Her work deals with complex systems, automation, and climate change. Jakub Choma’s work is based on almost laboratorial experiments with various materials such as cork, plexiglass, or aluminum, but it also relies heavily on digital visual culture and the aesthetics of gaming environments, which the artist’s generation is strongly influenced by.
