The topic of the exhibition explores liberation from the anthropocentric definition of sound and acknowledges that each vibration can be perceived by different beings and objects. The sun doesn’t revolve around the Earth, and the Earth doesn’t revolve around humanity; hierarchies break down and everything is suddenly equally important. The exhibition Post-hearing_Post-listening explores new ways of becoming a valuable part of the ecosystem and overcoming the role of parasite. Sound permeates our bodies and mixes with our environment. Sound and transmedia artists explore ways of listening that are not limited by the human ear, listening to interspecies and ecospheric communication.
