What good are our stereotypes? What do they enable us and what do they limit us in? And what can prejudice do? We live in a time and in a society in which hate speech has become a normal part of our lives. It is also a time that tests our ability to interpret events and our capacity for solidarity. Through subtle activities and using contemporary art, we will map the workings of our stereotypes in order to subject them to critical reflection in a guided debate.

Workshop in Czech language. Reservation here.
DOX Contemporary Art Centre, Studio, 1st floor

An interactive programme for art professionals, Superstudio at the third edition of Prague Art Week will become a space for critical thinking and discussion of the most common stereotypes that are part of the Czech art scene. Through our own self-reflection, we will reflect and verify through several activities how stereotypical thinking can be unraveled and disrupted. Several topics have escalated in the art scene in the last few years that provoke strong emotions, conflicts or generational contradictions, which we can reflect on together and try to weaken their intensity through dialogue, which often has no place in institutional traffic, social networks and closed social bubbles.

The workshop is based on the educational program Breaking down stereotypes, which is part of the permanent offer of programs for school groups and the public.
