The Young Selection 02 exhibition shone at The House

The second year of the Young Selection exhibition project followed on from the successful debut in 2024 and once again brought a breath of fresh air to the world of contemporary art.

The main goal of the exhibition was to discover and present the youngest creative talents – artists who have not yet been represented in galleries or had the opportunity to exhibit in large institutions. Ten exceptional authors made it to the selection, selected by an expert committee consisting of representatives of the partners (Kristýna Špringlová – The House, Eva Vele – KodlContemporary, Milan Dospěl -Galerie Kodl) and the festival organizers (Lenka Bakeš – PAW). Young Selection 02 offered an authentic look at the emerging talents that the contemporary art scene has to offer. The exhibition took place from 26 to 28 September in the newly renovated premises of the functionalist villa The House in Prague 6 – an exceptional art hub, which was generously provided to the festival by the foundation of the same name.

The exhibitors were:

Jana Svobodová

Kateřina Kábová

Kateřina Šťastná

Marianna Stránská

Matěj Macháček

Mia Milgrom

Mikuláš Juráček

Ondřej Navrátil

Paula Gogola

Tereza Samková

The media partner of the exhibition was ELLE Decoration magazine. You can find an article about the Young Selection 02 exhibition in the autumn issue of the magazine, which is on newsstands from 24 September.

As part of PAW25, visitors could also take a look at the open studios of the artists who work in the villa. The doors were opened to them by Dominika Vyskočilová, Johana Novotná, Bianka Barniaková, Olga Krykun, Matěj Liška, David Pinkava, Max van Olffen, Jakub Hájek and František Hanousek, Lukáš Hofmann and Marianna Stránská.
