Pleiades of Glass 1946-2019

The exhibition presents a part of the world-famous glass collection of the Museum of Decorative Arts in Prague from the second half of the 20th century and the beginning of the 21st century, the so called original glass. A selection of key works from various decades is accompanied by explanatory chronological texts, including statements by famous representatives of the glass scene. The exhibition shows visitors how and at what time these exclusive works initiated the development of original glass in the world. All of the works that visitors will be able to admire were often created decades ago, but they do not age, they are still aesthetically contemporary, imaginative in concept, revelatory in the technology used and execution.
