It focuses on the mutability of perception and visuality, and on moments of surprise emerging at their threshold.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The installation includes a series of large-format prints and a carpet whose pattern originates from a communication error. The elongated, rounded shape of the prints references the design of a smartphone, while the carpet functions as a spatial intervention balancing horizontal and vertical planes, physical touch and simulated perception.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Bernartov\u00e1 develops situations in which everyday digital habits transform into aesthetic experience. The Kodl Contemporary project traces a shift in his practice towards a broader investigation of material transformation and processes of becoming.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The title refers to silicon as the fundamental component of glass, while also evoking a deeper, geological dimension of matter. Glass is not understood as a finished object, but as a substance in constant motion, shaped by pressure, layering, and sedimentation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><a href=\"https:\/\/thedesign.cz\/galerie\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Design Gallery<\/a>: Liquid Tension<\/b><b><br \/>\n<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Byoungchan Yun, Lucie Jindr\u00e1k Sk\u0159iv\u00e1nkov\u00e1<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">22.01\/2026 \u2013 03\/05\/2026<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Liquid Tension<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> brings together the work of Byoungchan Yun and Lucie Jindr\u00e1k Sk\u0159iv\u00e1nkov\u00e1, who operate within different media and cultural contexts, yet share a common space defined by the tension between form and fluidity. The project emerges as a dialogue between two approaches to material\u2014design and painting\u2014and develops a relationship between control and spontaneity, structure and autonomy.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Both artists draw inspiration from each other\u2019s environments, extending their collaboration beyond aesthetics into questions of exchange and mutual perception.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A central motif is the reinterpretation of the traditional Korean moon jar. The glass form designed by Yun interacts with Sk\u0159iv\u00e1nkov\u00e1\u2019s painting, created without direct brushwork, through gravity and chance.
