    Jan Vytiska’s largest project to date is now on view at the DOX Centre for Contemporary Art. The exhibition of 32 large-format canvases presents a typically thematic treatment of a mix of Wallachian folklore and pop culture references. However, it extends this theme. More landscapes, mountain ranges or flowering meadows appear, contrasting with the scene for which they create a framework. However, Vytiska does not stop mixing all these references with his own romantic gesture.<\/p>\n

      The work of Kri\u0161tof Kintera needs no introduction. However, for the exhibition at DOX he has exchanged complex kinetic sculptures for a more traditional medium, namely drawing. Even though Kintera’s drawings are unconventional. Three-dimensional works that most would call collage or assemblage can be seen at the Centre for Contemporary Art until August.<\/p>\n

        We invite you on a bohemian historical journey through post-war Paris and New York, through the swinging London of the 1960s and the non-conformist art of Tehran and Beijing. What is bohemia? The current exhibition at Kunsthalle Prague explores this phenomenon. Curated by Russell Ferguson, the exhibition features works by artists such as: Nan Goldin, Libu\u0161e Jarcovj\u00e1kov\u00e1, Wang Jin and Wolfgang Tillmans.<\/p>\n

          J\u00e1n Gajdu\u0161ek, curator of the exhibition Kingdom of Hex at MeetFactory, reflects with the artists on the ecological and economic crisis and the post-truth world full of misinformation, uncertainties and conspiracy theories. The theme of the exhibition is related to broader developments within the contemporary cultural scene and focuses on the current form of romantic tendencies in the visual arts. Among the exhibitors you can see works by Nela Brita\u0148\u00e1kov\u00e1, Masha Kovtun, Maty\u00e1\u0161 Mal\u00e1\u010d and \u0160imon S\u00fdkora.<\/p>\n

          The first solo exhibition of former MeetFactory resident Jakub Ho\u0161ek at the Kostka Gallery is intended as a thematic equivalent to the Kingdom of Hex exhibition. It will present a selection of the artist’s works from the last 10 years. Ho\u0161ek’s work includes abstracted or textual visual decals of phenomena and signs based on urban subcultures, whose ever-changing formal language he transforms into his own painterly identity.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
