In keeping with the name of Franti\u0161ek Odkolek, the founder of a chain of local bakeries, the collection of twelve artworks has been named Odkolekce. The determining criteria for curator Petr Wolf\u2018s selection of artists were the quality of their work, originality, experience exhibiting in public spaces, and a diversity of expressions representing several generations.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Eight artefacts were installed at the Secret Place in the first phase of construction, by David B\u00f6hm (1982) and Ji\u0159\u00ed Franta (1978), Michal Cimala (1975), Luk\u00e1\u0161 Rais (1975), Petr Stanick\u00fd (1975), \u010cestm\u00edr Su\u0161ka (1952), Ev\u017een \u0160imera (1980), Michal \u0160kapa (1978) and Karel \u0160t\u011bdr\u00fd (1985). These achievements were followed in the following stages by V\u00e1clav Cigler (1929) and Michal Moty\u010dka (1974), V\u00e1clav Fiala (1955), Tom\u00e1\u0161 Hlavina (1966) and Stanislav Kol\u00edbal (1925).<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/player.vimeo.com\/video\/852347258?h=e6d40810ce&amp;title=0&amp;byline=0&amp;portrait=0\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><strong>The principles that the artists applied in the creation of:<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>1. Metamorphosis of things that were part of the original site<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>2. revitalization in its most original form<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>3. Recycling as a principle in the birth of a new identity of the place<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>4. Art as a guardian of memory<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>5. Art inextricably linked to the site<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>6. Art that is not just &#8220;for decoration&#8221; but wants to touch the deeper essence of a place<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Annotation of artefacts installed in the area of the Vyso\u010dany Mill during 2023<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>David B\u00f6hm and Ji\u0159\u00ed Franta: The subject of our conversations<\/strong><br \/>\nThe artists, working as a duo, have created a spatial drawing. They have developed the classical two-dimensional discipline into a three-dimensional sculpture titled The Subject of our Conversations.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Michal Cimala: Roxorman<\/strong><br \/>\nFor his work, Michal Cimala used concrete reinforcements (so-called roxors) that were salvaged during the demolition of old buildings. He joined them together to form a figurative sculpture that weighs 6.5 tons and reaches a height of 7.5 meters.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Luk\u00e1\u0161 Rais: Trichodon<\/strong><br \/>\nThe steel object combines abstraction and realism. The sculpture, which is reminiscent of a pretzel, will be permanently relocated to the place.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Petr Stanick\u00fd: Echo<\/strong><br \/>\nThe artwork Echo conducts a dialogue with the surrounding buildings. It can be a concrete torso, it can be a beginning. It can be a gazebo, but it can also be a generator of creativity.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ev\u017een \u0160imera: Descent<\/strong><br \/>\nThe west wall of the A2 house has been transformed into a huge \u201cpainting canvas\u201dthat reaches nearly twenty meters in height and twelve meters in width. The work is titled Descent.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u010cestm\u00edr Su\u0161ka: Bud<\/strong><br \/>\nThe sculptor has metamorphosed a cyclone separator, which was used to treat flour, into the form of a developing industrial flower. The work is titled Bud.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Michal \u0160kapa: A Head Full of Ideas<\/strong><br \/>\nThe large-format graffiti A Head Full of Ideas (581 m2) in the passageway of an apartment building in the western part of the complex is an invitation to a strange world full of various elements and motifs expressing the inner state of the mind of man in the postmodern digital age.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Karel \u0160t\u011bdr\u00fd: Runway<\/strong><br \/>\nPainter Karel \u0160t\u011bdr\u00fd\u2019s path stretches with the first stage reaching a length of 63.5 meters.
