\u201cCukrou\u0161<\/em> is a large, nearly six-meter-tall sculpture that you can walk through. It’s part architecture, part sculpture, part plant, and part creature \u2013 a conglomerate of all these elements,\u201d says \u010ciha\u0159ov\u00e1.<\/p>\n

In the podcast, you\u2019ll hear more about the entire process behind the piece \u2013 from the open call and competition to its final realization. Linda also explains how ecological thinking plays a fundamental role in her practice, which became central to Cukrou\u0161<\/em> as well:
\u201cIf there are homes for people, there should be homes for nature too,\u201d she explains.<\/p>\n

Cukrou\u0161<\/em> is not only a visual or symbolic object \u2013 it is also meant to become a living structure and habitat for other organisms. Its final form remains open: over time, it will be interwoven with living plants, which the artist will gradually integrate into the construction. Linda intentionally leaves the outcome to a collaboration with nature itself.<\/p>\n

The podcast also follows the evolution of her work across various media \u2013 from video art to ceramic reliefs and large-scale installations.
