In a geopolitical and historical sense: What unknown lies beyond the periphery? How can peripheries communicate with each other without relying on the center? What is the relationship between Ruritania-periphery, Megalomania-center, and Utopia? To what extent they can be a common ground to end this division? What are the symbols for the political forces supporting this division? In terms of human relations: How do we view ourselves? What is the relationship between “they” and “we”? How do we recognize and navigate the hierarchy of perspectives? How do we strike a balance between the universal and the personal? In a geographical and planetary sense: When does “power over nature” begin and end? What are our ambitions and how can we mitigate them to maintain a sustainable living space? How can we change our relationship with nature in a time of climate collapse? In a personal sense: How do we keep our distance from the madness of the world? How can we be critical without being cynical? How can we help and what are the limits of our help? Can art make a difference?
