HOTEL AUGUSTINE

Augustine, a luxury hotel in the centre of Prague, creates a peaceful oasis in the heart of the Lesser Town. Its history dates back to 1284, the time when Augustinian monks were still living in the neighborhood. The hotel has connected by its own entrance to the monastery building and the Church of St. Thomas. The rooms are furnished with cubist furniture and decorated with elements inspired by the life of the monks, designed by Olga Pollizi. The unique Refectory Bar houses a restored Baroque fresco depicting the four archangels and the Augustinian symbol of the flaming heart. The monastery’s history permeates the entire hotel.

Several sculptures by Lukáš Rais will be placed in the gardens of the Augustine Hotel during the festival.
