PAVLA DUNDÁLKOVÁ

Pavla Dundálková’s work is based on lived presence, everyday experiences, and daily routines. In this way, she lets feelings stick to the objects, such as emotions from relationships, from working for money, or from the news in the media. She is often inspired by stories from mythology, history, and poetry. She is interested in themes of relationships, gender, and currently also motherhood and aging, such as how change came into her life when she became a mother herself. She uses her subjects as actors or witnesses to a crime scene which she bends and manipulates as the space demands.
