MATURATION

The work of Sára Konečná and Tereza Štětinová is united by the theme of transformation, a fundamental element of every form of life on earth. We undergo change from the moment we come into being until the very end. Some changes are ritualized and visible, and we attach greater significance to them. Others occur imperceptibly and continuously, within us or as a result of external forces. Although we often resist
change, we instinctively sense that it is inevitable if we are to mature. In order to grow, we must allow change to take place.
