Meet this year’s participants, learn about their professional backgrounds, experiences and roles within the Prague Art Week programme. The individual profiles showcase their work, long-term focus and the themes they explore in their practice.
The selection of guests reflects the breadth of the contemporary art scene and brings together different generations, disciplines and ways of working. Alongside curators, you will also find gallery owners, art theorists, editors, collectors and representatives of cultural institutions.
Each guest brings their own perspective, experience and way of thinking about contemporary art to the programme. Their participation creates a space for sharing knowledge, forging new connections and fostering open discussion between the Czech and international art scenes.
The implementation of the Meet the Scene program was made possible thanks to the support of the PPF Foundation. Their partnership allowed us to elevate international guest hospitality to a fully professional level, expand our English-language programming, and build a strong foundation for the internationalization of the Czech art scene.
“At the PPF Foundation, we believe that Czech talent belongs on the global stage. Achieving this, however, takes more than just high-quality work—it also requires opportunities, personal encounters, and connections that can pave the way abroad. Meet the Scene brings prominent figures from the international arts scene to Prague, offering them a firsthand look at local creators, institutions, and their work. We consider this kind of networking essential for the further development and greater visibility of contemporary Czech art internationally. That is why we decided to support this program,” says Jana Tomas Sedláčková, Member of the Board of Directors of the PPF Foundation.
