GRACIANO is not a traditional white cube gallery. We bring contemporary art and design together, creating an environment that feels natural and lived-in, allowing visitors to imagine what it might actually be like to live with the works on display. We do not want to pretend to be something we are not. What matters to us is that the individual pieces work together, support one another, and create a natural atmosphere throughout the space. We called the exhibition BAD ROOMMATES precisely because the artists exhibited alongside one another might not normally coexist within a traditional white cube gallery. We aim to make the gallery experience more approachable and accessible. As Michal Gratcl, the gallerist behind GRACIANO, puts it: “I like these things, and I feel at home in my gallery.”
