NEIGHBOURS

“Sousedky” is the both the Czech word for female neighbors and the exhibition title for the group show of four Düsseldorf- and Cologne-based artists: Janine Böckelmann, Sibylle Czichon, Antonia Freisburger, and Antonia Rodrian. The artists are neighbors in several senses: they live in neighboring cities; they are founding members and co-curators in the off spaces sonneundsolche and AURA Kunstraum, which are located on the same street; and they are above all fellow artists. Among them are three painters and a sculptor who have developed different artistic focuses for their work and are bringing their ideas together for the first time.
