The former NRB bank building in the city center at the address Jeruzalémské 4 was provided to PAW by the festival’s partner PSN to become an exhibition space for a period of four days. On several floors of this bank from the first decade of this century, the characteristic aesthetics of “temples of money” meet the critical reflection and interventions of Eastern European artists of the young and middle generations.

Exhibitions: PRIVATIZACE, GALERIE MOLSKI, CHRÁMY PENĚZ and WHO MOVED MY CHEESE ?

Vernisáž / Opening: 22. 9., 17.OO

An exhibition from the collection of Pekelné sáně, presenting a site-specific installation by Tomáš Bárta and Tomáš Roubal, which is a kind of prequel to their joint exhibition, which will follow on October 6 at the Pekelné sáně Gallery in Kroměříž. The exhibition in the unique interiors of the former bank will be complemented by an intervention by Jan Nálevka.

Tomáš Bárta (*1982) is a Czech artist best known for his paintings and drawings, which follow the tradition of modernist geometric abstraction.

Tomáš Roubal (*1982) is a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Bratislava. His work deals with contemporary political events, which he explores through sculpture, painting, drawing, and original publications.

Jan Nálevka (*1976) is a Czech conceptual artist who works with the mediums of drawing, video, digital photography, installation, and object. His work is usually minimalistic and ironic.
