As part of the broader exhibition cycle Dialogues on Art Reproductions, which juxtaposes the history of photomechanical reproduction with its contemporary artistic reflections, this exhibition explores the persuasive power of photography. The installation examines how the meaning of images shifts when still photographs are employed within time-based media and how the photographic image—and its seemingly documentary nature—can challenge our understanding of the world as we (apparently) know it.
